Acupuncture is a system of medicine with ancient roots. Modern practitioners of acupuncture graduate with a Master of Science in these ancient Chinese texts along with advanced study in human anatomy and physiology.

 

During an assessment, Dr. Sand will ask detailed questions and use pulse diagnosis to develop your individualized treatment. Using thin acupuncture needles, acupuncturists can release blockages in your "qi", or vital energy, to restore your body to balance and to reduce symptoms. These needles are often placed along your body's channels or meridians, which are like highways for qi flow.
